FEATURE ARTIST NOV 9 - 15

This week's Feature Artist KIT (Katie Wighton of All Our Exes Live in Texas) needs no introduction.

After recording her first solo EP in 2019 at Small Time, future plans were put on hold following the COVID-19 pandemic.

We're thrilled to be finally hosting the release and experiencing a live performance on Friday 13 November at 7.30pm.

The event will be both live streamed on Facebook and performed in our venue to a limited capacity.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

KIT (aka Katie Wighton) is the guitarist/vocals in ARIA-award winning folk outfit All Our Exes Live in Texas.
All Our Exes have spent the better part of the last few years touring the world supporting acts including The Backstreet Boys, Passenger and Midnight Oil in the US. In 2017 All Our Exes Live in Texas won the ARIA award for Best Blues & Roots Album for their critically acclaimed debut, “When We Fall”. In the same year they went home with “Folk Act of the Year” at both the National Live Music Awards and AU Review Awards. Songs from the album were also nominated for the Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition and APRA Song of the Year.

In 2019 Katie began working with Dave Symes (Boy and Bear), James Seymour (Feelds, Merpire) and Liz Drummond (Little May) as co-producers to record an album under her new solo alias, KIT. Her first KIT single Good Guy came out April 3rd through Believe to much acclaim.

Wighton has an extensive and impressive list of co-writes under her belt including Colin Hay, Jenny Owens-Young (Panic! At The Disco), Jake Sinclair (Panic! At The Disco, Taylor Swift, Pink), Afie Jurvanen (Bahamas) Marc Orrell (Dropkick Murphys), Tony Buchen (The Preachers, Courtney Barnett), Toby Dundas (The Temper Trap), Henry Wagons (Wagons) and Sam Burtt (Sam Phay).

Katie is also a proud APRA Ambassador.
