Laugh, sing, cry and surrender your heart to Ireland’s greatest songs & stories and have a right old session with us.

Sionnach Rua’s Great Irish Song Book brings Irelands rich and unique culture to the shores of Australia, with a romantic passion that runs deep in Celtic veins.

Sionnach Rua’s Great Irish Song Book is an authentic music and story catalogue from Irish born and raised frontman, Gallie. Interwoven with rich stories from Gallie’s Irish upbringing, with tales of Irish traditions and histories, audiences will be transported back to a lively session in a celebration of Celtic music with songs ranging from Planxty to Van Morrison to the Dubliners. This stage show will make you feel like you are visiting a lively “session” in an Irish bar without having to travel to Dingle. An assured crowd pleaser.

Joining Gallie are acclaimed Australian maestro’s and multi-instrumentalists, Jen Anderson [fiddle] Paddy Montgomery [bouzouki, guitar, mandolin, bodhran] Luke Plumb [mandolin, guitar] and Sam Davies [uilleann pipes, tin whistle, low whistle].

Some say Irish Folk music is “Crude, exciting, jagged and primeval”…we say there’s nothin wrong with that.

From members of the team behind international literary phenomenon Women of Letters comes a new(ish) spoken-word art salon celebrating words, stories, and human experiences.

Better Off Said: Eulogies for the Living and Dead is afternoon of words it’s time to air.  Is there something you always wish you’d shouted aloud, someone still out there in the world waiting to hear an important message, a piece of history you feel your voice could have improved?  Now is the opportunity to leave no verbal stone unturned.  To find your closure.  To sing your truth from the rooftops before it’s too late.

On MAY 1st, four guests will speak to the phrase ’The Words I Wish I’d Said' and a special guest will deliver a Living Eulogy, to someone or some thing, to celebrate the best in our lives while we're all still here to hear it. There'll also be a musical performance to help make each salon special.

Presented by Emilie Zoey Baker and Marieke Hardy.
