Melbourne MC Sinks has just released his third studio album 'Common Ruin' - a politically conscious record that critically explores our obsession with aspiration, narcissism and self interest. The record is scathing yet tongue in cheek, with a production backdrop comprised of dusty samples and fluid breakbeats that converge to evoke feelings dread and tension. With traditional hip hop production supplied by Must, Calski, Sinks, Saint Surly, Flu & Oath, the album knocks from start to finish. To celebrate the release, Sinks is putting on an official album launch event at Workers Club on the 21st of June. Sinks will be inviting a slew of guests on stage (Thando, Dyl Thomas, Dialectrix & Ill Format) to perform the works they have collaborated on. The event will also see support slots from 2nd Thought & KJDBRD and Dead Men Talking (Nine2Five). Tickets available online or at the door.
