SHOL is a quintet from Melbourne that has been performing and recording since 2012. They are a contemporary jazz ensemble whose original compositions cover hard bop, free jazz, world and soul music. They have developed a personal and unique ensemble sound and are all composers in their own right.

All the members of SHOL have paid their musical dues over a period of many years performing, composing and collaborating with many of Australia’s finest jazz musicians. These musicians have come together forming a solid and highly experienced unit writing original compositions for their musical inspirations, paying homage to Coltrane, Coleman, Davis, Monk, Mingus, Taylor, Blakey etc. The music takes you on a journey exploring melodic themes, moods and rhythmic textures, building on compositions demanding freedom in improvisation.

The mercurial, genre-bending art rock exploits of Invisible Dears are returning to the Wesley Anne for one of their first Melbourne shows in 3 years. Having garnered a reputation for their eclectic compositions, rich 3-part harmonies, manic like moods split with ambient soundscapes Invisible Dears deliver a deeply passionate performance that will challenge and embrace all at the same time.

Tilley invites you to step into her dark and sparkling world.
A masterful and versatile voice, unique style, and songs of love, loathing, transformation, and what it means to be human, make Tilley a memorable one-of-a-kind performer who will leave you with shivers down your spine and a feeling of being seen.

An amalgamation of classical and alternative, Katherine & The Vectors intertwine Romantic melody with heavy distortion. For this show Katherine will perform as a soloist, offering the audience an opportunity to hear her songs in their stripped back versions.
