‘Shayari’ is a Hindi word which means ‘poetry’ – a specific kind of poetry which allows the writer to express his deepest feelings into words.

Shay grew up in Ashkelon, and chose to follow his passion in music after 7 years as a navy officer, 2 years in hi-tech, and developing his practice of Vipassana meditation. Ari grew up in Melbourne’ Australia and moved to Israel 3 years ago, at which point he took a 2 year break from creating and performing to focus on yoga. Since their souls connected in January 2019 through Facebook, they create together, practice yoga and meditation, and connect people through their songs and through their ideas about spirituality, self-awareness and faith. With Ari on piano and Shay playing guitar, violin and bansuri flute, the duo’s show is an experience of vulnerability and sensitivity which allows both the artists and the audience to express and explore their deepest emotions.
