Setwun is the musical brainchild of producer, multi-instrumentalist, and DJ, Josh Panakera-Molony. Covering a broad spectrum of sounds, his music moves with ease from low slung grooves to dance floor tempos, all with a deep undercurrent of soul music and it’s various offshoots.

Since exploring the project in a live environment as both a solo performer and in a band format with The Soulstranauts, Setwun has been called on to play support for international artists like Amp Fiddler, Fatima, Alexander Nut, Omar, Tall Black Guy, Stro Elliot, Onra, MNDSGN, Ivan Ave, Joyce Wrice, Black Milk and Mark De Clive-Lowe.

Deeply percussive, far-reaching, soulful, timeless and diverse, Setwun’s music is centered in that place where it all comes together as the perfect expression of influence and openness.

Aaron Choulai is a critically acclaimed and award winning pianist evolving somewhere between the Jazz and Noise scene. His diverse projects have also lead him to work as a hip hop producer, leading to his collaboration with Daichi Yamamoto on cult underground Japanese label Jazzy Sport. Some dope jazz influenced hip hop for your ears.
