Sand Brothers is a supergroup of sorts, formed in 2020 by Greg Walker (Machine Translations) and Rick Sands (The Night Party) along with Pete Cook (Yamamoto), Din Roberts (Kutcha Edwards Band) and Glen Scarlett (Oak). The band has spent the past two years writing and recording a load of original songs, to be released as a debut album “Too Much Sky” early in the new year. These current shows will launch the debut single "Adelaide”- an immediate, energetic song which taps into the melodic seam of driving Australiana mined by the likes of The Go-Betweens, Crow, and Died Pretty. The songs reflect the diversity of influence and experience that results in a rocking live outfit who produce atmospheres of calm and urgency, light and dark, power and restraint.
