Naarm (MELB) based Rosie Rai is one of Australia's most exciting composer/producers, weaving deeply personal lyrics with textural and rhythmic production that sits somewhere in between the alt folk of the 2010’s and glam pop of the 80’s. Her 2nd single 'Study Buddy' has been described as "a bossa-nova fever dream", evoking 80's Brazilian Disco icon Marcos Valle and Japanese fusion bands of the same era. Somehow this eclecticism still manages to be coherent and catchy. When not recording, producing and mixing her own music, Rosie is an in demand session keys player and DJ, with 2022 seeing her perform at a heap of bucket list venues, including the Sydney Opera House, ABC studios for Triple J's Like A Version, and Splendour in the Grass. She is a current member of Miiesha's (BRIS) touring band.
