Richie1250 & The Brides Of Christ emerge from hibernation to play a gig with It Thing from Hobart. They are a punky band in the vein of X-Ray Spex / Siouxsie and The Banshees / that kind of thing and I am excited to have them play in our fair city.
I have also coaxed my friend Jorge to perform with his band The Futilities, who play even less often the The Brides. Among other sterling compositions, Jorge has a Ziggy Stardust pastiche called "Fancy Pants" that never fails to rouse me from my torpor.
