Raul Sanchez is possibly the busiest man in the Melbourne music scene.

Did you know that while he's not poking your eardrums with Magic Dirt, River Of Snakes and Midnight Woolf, Raul can be found putting his immeasurable talents to musical scores for both the big screen and the little one. It was whilst watching the 2018 film Undertow, a film for which Raul provided the musical score along with soundtrack-stalwarts James Orr and Lisa Gerard (of Dead Can Dance), that Wild Animals Records started to lean on Raul to give us some more of his music to release.

He finally relented and Wild Animals Records are overjoyed to be able to bring you 'Clotho // Lachesis', a brooding collection of tracks over a double LP released on 16th November in an edition of 125 copies. The music is certainly for fans of Bohren & der Club of Gore, Eno & Fripp, Johann Johannssen...you get the idea!

As the label basically paid for his guilt, he has also agreed to play a few shows to celebrate the release. He doesn't often play solo so come along and see the other side of the man who gave you tinnitus. What a good egg!

LP up on the Wild Animals Records Bandcamp page soon. In the mean time, fill your ears from here: https://soundcloud.com/raulfuzz

The band released “Alexandra” earlier this year, the first single since their inimitable debut album A Quality of Mercy. Since releasing their first album to critical acclaim and audience adoration, RVG have made huge strides at home and internationally: the band played an iconic set at Meredith Music Festival, travelled Europe and the UK with Shame (UK), toured the US with Rolling Blackouts Coastal fever, played shows in Australia with Kurt Vile (US), showcased at South By Southwest and played headline shows in New York and LA, performed at Denmark’s renowned Roskilde festival, and played a BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge session, hosted by Huw Stephens. ‘Alexandra’ is the first taste of new music from RVG: produced by Victor van Vugt (PJ Harvey, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Beth Orton, The Triffids), and recorded in Melbourne, ‘Alexandra’ signals the next stage in RVG’s thrilling trajectory.
