We are on the precipice of a material revolution that has the power to rebalance our relationship with our planet. Our current take-make-discard building model is reaching its physical limits. Now, a shifted focus on materiality urges us to reconsider the very building blocks of the design process.

Architects, artists and design professionals are increasingly looking to local waste streams and biological systems to create new sustainable building materials. The slippage between discard and resource reveals new worlds or material possibility and enable us to better understand the potential of what we already have.

PROCESS invites you to participate in the SLIPPAGE conversation. Will disruptive, transdisciplinary approaches to materiality shape a more harmonious material future?
