In the midst of 2020 lockdowns, both Penny and Partridge string quartets found themselves with only half their members each in Naarm/Melbourne. It was decided that as soon as some restrictions lifted, they would join forces and make the best of the situations, adding Ioana on violin to make PQ x PQ - a quintet project, and their chamber music version of a silver lining.
