Plastic Cheeses’ latest single ‘Mid Strength Crisis’ is an ode to being okay with getting older, but not being okay with some of the stereotypical behaviours that are meant to come with it (ie. sitting at home alone drinking mid strength beer). In the spirit of exactly this, Plastic Cheeses invite you to join them in the front bar of The Tote front bar to celebrate the launch of, ‘Mid Strength Crisis’ with a fair dinkum afternoon sesh of day drinking, yarn spinning, good company and good times (at an age appropriate time for those of us a longer in the tooth).
Armed with a lap steel and a resonator, Matt Bourke and Alister Turrill take on a set of Australiana back porch blues. With a healthy selection of stripped back songs from their catalogue with 'Matt Bourke and the Delusional Drunks' and a few old blues standards thrown in for good measure, you're in for an absolute treat. Casino Stepdad is more than a pair of aviator sunglasses and a stetson hat. He's a lover, a gambler, a winner, a loser - and a provider of songs of swagger and sleaze in aviator sunglasses and a stetson hat. Enjoy the spirit of 3am Mahogany Room at 3pm in The Tote Front Bar.
