'Friendly Fire'
The tradition of duelling saxophones was born long ago in the early battle grounds of jazz.
From the early pairings of Lester Young and Coleman Hawkins, the likes of Illinois Jacquet and Flip Phillips, Gene Ammons and Sonny Stitt, Johnny Griffin and Eddie ‘Lockjaw’ Davis, and countless others have come together to engage in friendly fire.
