Paskalia plays ol skool greek music, mostly known as Smyrneika or Rebetika. A music both underground & controversial. Outlawed during the metaxa years, it has since been rediscovered and reinvented by a whole new generation of players all over the world. Rich in drama, in texture, storytelling at it's finest. Titles like, Why I snort cocaine. Bugger off dude. Ouzo, morphine and Hashish. A style that's both serious and mischevous, often at the same time.

Paskalia's rich performing history traverses Europe and Australia, having played with the likes of Haris & Panos Katsimihas, Apodimi Compania, Marios Papadeas, Kleon Antoniou, Habibis & Rebetiki Compania to name a few. Her rich, soulful vocals tell stories of pleasure, pain, love and addiction. Her music aches with emotional truths, and ancient yearning. Joining her are 2 of Melbourne's premier Greek musicians. Byron Triandafilidis on Double Bass and Apollonia Xylouri on Oud
