Hosted by MEMO MUSIC HALL and presented by MELBOURNE BOOKS, the evening celebrates the launch of the definitive Kim Salmon biography written by Douglas Galibraith titled Nine Parts Water, One Part Sand. Kim Salmon and the Formula for Grunge as well as the new Kim Salmon/Scientists split single ‘The Poison Pen/Dissonance’. With performances from local to international bands including: Shrimpwitch, Dave Graney & the MistLY, Kim Salmon & the Surrealists, Kid Congo Powers & The Near Death Experience, it’s going to be a launch worth celebrating!

KIM SALMON. Art School dropout, seminal punk rocker, and living legend. Born into the isolation of the semi-industrial wastelands of 1950s outer suburban Perth, Kim Salmon clawed his way out of the swamp and onto the world stage in his bands, the Scientists, the Surrealists, and the Beasts of Bourbon.
