This March the Brunswick Ballroom launches The New Melbourne Folk Club on its maiden voyage with a midweek residency in March featuring singer-songwriter luminaries from Melbourne and beyond, surprise guests and collaborations.
The series is produced by the Charm of Finches.

Lisa Miller is a trailblazing Melbourne songwriter/singer with 7 critically acclaimed solo albums to her name. As much admired for her emotional and veracious songwriting - Quiet Girl with a Credit Card, Version Originale and Morning In The Bowl Of Night (shortlisted for the Australian Music Prize) as for her uniquely diverse interpretations of obscure folk, soul, country and blues songs - Car Tape and Car Tape 2
She has 3 times been nominated for ARIA Best Female Artist - with 9 nominations in total. Her songs have featured on compilations and soundtracks including ‘She Will Have Her Way’, ‘Look Both Ways’ and ‘Seachange’ She has toured with or supported artists such as Neil Young, Nick Cave, Billy Bragg, Nick Lowe, Alex Chilton, Bert Jansch, Iris Dement, Jonathan Richman and Jimmy Webb. For Her show at The Melbourne Folk Club, Lisa will be performing old songs and new and will be joined by long time collaborator and legendary guitarist /producer Shane O’Mara.
