Melbourne four-piece Monnone Alone launch their new album Summer of the Mosquito at the Tote on Friday, May 31. Landing plumb in the sweet spot where jangle and power-pop collide Summer of the Mosquito is the second album by former Lucksmith Mark Monnone, this time ‘round featuring his band of Joe Foley, Gus Franklin and Louis Richter having a rollicking good choogle. Helping launch the album will be Swim Team, Lachlan Denton & Studio Magic (featuring members of the Ocean Party, Ciggie Witch and Pregnancy) and newcomers The Bush.

Melbourne’s own Excarnate announce their ‘Honour Amongst Thieves’ tour to mark their debut Self Titled 12” EP Record, released through Life Lair Regret Records. The tour comprises three shows across Australia to showcase Excarnate’s refined sound of death metal inspired violence. Having shared stages with Mindsnare and Power Trip, Excarnate have demonstrated they are capable of delivering a belligerent practice, both on stage and in the studio.

The seven track Self Titled EP builds upon their 2018 ‘Sever the Ties’ Demo, further refining and executing their sound of crushing riffs and merciless breakdowns. To launch the release of 12”, Excarnate will be performing three shows at Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
