Melbourne folk-pop darlings Parkville are proud to announce the release of their sophomore EP, “The Softest Murder,” launching Saturday October 5th at the Grace Darling Hotel.

2019 has already been a landmark year for Parkville, having joined forces with producer Sean Kenihan of Northeast Party House on summer single 'Rooks' to great success. Following on from the momentum, Parkville also launched fan-favourite ‘Walkabout’ into the world with a premiere video on Rage, as well as gaining traction on streaming services in what proves to be the band’s most popular track to date.

Riding the momentum of the singles, Parkville’s live show has gained great traction from a couple of east coast headline tours, featuring on a TEDx Melbourne line-up, and appearing as main support for international megastars Kodaline at SOLD OUT 170 Russell shows alongside a few festival dates to boot.

The band are very proud to launch their new EP, featuring 5 Kenihan-produced tracks, including lead single ‘Come Around’. Once again defying expectations, the EP will taking you on a journey from the manic latin-rock of ‘Rooks’ to pure feel-good folk-pop in a stunningly polished, radio-ready collection of songs guaranteed to translate to an exciting live spectacle at the launch.

Parkville are excited to deliver their driving Mumford & Sons-style songs, their rich three-part vocal harmonies and their soaring violin riffs to the Grace Darling stage. Their bombastic live shows are becoming known as “nothing short of spectacular” (The Real Songwriters of Melbourne), with recent performances establishing a loyal following within the Australian music scene.
