I've been thinking lately how i'd love to go to a proper hot latin record party, with DJs playing all kinds of old latin records, mambo, salsa, cumbia, boogaloo, flamenco, and a live band too! And then I remember putting on parties is my job and if I want the party of my dreams to happen I should organize it myself, so thus I present to you CALIENTE! Hot Latin Dance Music '55-'75. Let us dance with fervour to all those great latin records of yore.

Joining me in the DJ booth will be Emma Peel, host of Switched On (PBS FM) and legendary lover of all things latin, and Hugo Tremayne aka DJ POCO JUGO, who is always playing such hot latin records on the turntable in his bar / taco spot Little Hop that I swore I'd get him out and playing them to a dancefloor one of these days.

To make things even more exciting, we'll have a live set from KEKOSON playing that hot 50s Cuban style dance music that's just impossible not to like.
