Mess Esque is a collaboration between Helen Franzmann (McKisko) and Mick Turner (Dirty Three) joined by bass player/vocalist Keeley Young (Requin, Claude) and drummer Kishore Ryan (Kid Sam) for this live performance.

Mess Esque have spread far and wide this year. They've been beyond the magical shores of their native land where they performed in Bonnie Prince Billy's band and toured Europe in support of Kurt Vile. They've played slots at Solid Sound Festival (US), End of The Road Festival (UK), Manchester Psych Festival (UK) and sold out their London show! Now Mess Esque return to Melbourne for one very special show to farewell Melbourne's Iconic Curtin on Wednesday, November 9, while celebrating the arrival of their recently released singles, "Armour Your Amor" and "Liminal Space,” on vinyl.

Copies of the vinyl will be available at the Curtin show, wrapt in a foldover jacket with full-color paintings from - no, not Mick Turner, painter on all his releases that he surveys - but instead, paintings from two esteemed Australian contemporaries, Darren McDonald and Robin Astley.
