For their first gig back after lockdown, we have nu-jazz collective Malla hitting The Retreat bandroom for two intimate and evocative sets on Saturday January 16th - with a dinner session from 6pm and a late session from 9.30pm - onwards.

After a year away from the live stage, the group are excited to bring both a new set and a new sound to 2021, with their fusing of boom-bap beats, jazz harmony and chaotic soundscapes. Or as Malla explain, “our music intertwines each individual's voices to create a liquid sound breaching styles of house, future-jazz and drum and bass.”
