Malawurr are 3 brothers from the Galpu Clan in North East Arnhem Land, Australia. Larry, Vernon and Jason Gurruwiwi are family and descendants of the great Djalu, custodian of the didgeridoo. Their music shares sacred songlines with the world.

On the eve of their first European/UK tour at the invitation of prestigious festivals such as WOMAD, Elementary Festival (England) and Rêve De L’Aborigène (France), the band will play a very special Melbourne show to raise awareness of the tour and funds to take a small camera crew.

The documented journey, which will see them spread the Songlines of their home, will be titled ‘Morning Star’ - a sequel to 2017’s Westwind: Djalu’s Legacy.

Malawurr, along with Nai Palm and friends, come together to raise funds for the tour and documentary - and maintain a proud tradition that’s been unbroken for over 60,000 years.
