Quirky and romantic, Melbourne five piece Long Lunch is the project of Peter Sismanes, Richard Machuca, Nic Steyger, Ali Mustafa and Joey Sismanes. With songs that comb the absurdities of life and love, the band combine eccentric RnB melodies, slacker jazz instrumentation and lo-fi pop textures that are immediately warm and lush.
With his band, Melbourne singer/songwriter Lou Davies writes pop songs with a 60’s nostalgia scattered throughout with influences from the likes of Lou Reed and Paul McCartney but also more recent songwriters such as Paul Kelly, Kurt Vile and Sixto Rodriguez. His songs bridge many genres from pop rock, to garage rock, to psychedelic rock, to slacker rock.
