This December, you are invited to celebrate 'Car Tape', an album of country-soul covers by highly acclaimed singer-songwriter Lisa Miller. Like the treasured cassette tape you would lovingly put together for a long car trip, Car Tape was originally released in 2002 and is now available for the first time on vinyl. Car Tape featured 13 wonderful tracks. Some were originally by artists who at the time were not as well-known as they seem to be today, like Townes Van Zandt, Gene Clark, Bill Withers, The Zombie's Colin Blunstone and Karen Dalton, and some were by artists who still haven't gotten their due, like Doug Sahm and Toussaint McCall. Friend and local favourite Tim Rogers even got a guernsey, with an exquisite version of "Words of Sadness".
