The Motion Below are back with a vengeance with their brand new EP ‘Cronus Complex’. Having shared “State Of Decay” and Figureheads” in the lead up to a hungry audience, the band are excited to take their brand new creation and set it alight atop the stage at Last Chance Rock N Roll Bar, Friday October 18! The night will take support from local legends in To Octavia and Furious George and will showcase a few of Melbourne’s most exciting up and coming bands blasting out of 2019.
“State Of Decay” was welcomed into the world a few weeks ago, was immediately added to Australia’s own Homegrown + Heavy Spotify playlist, built the foundation of interest with solid reviews from triple j’s The Racket host Mitch Alexander and Unearthed’s Dave Ruby Howe and has received media love nationwide. “Figureheads” comes as the second cut from ‘Cronus Complex’ and premiered on The Racket with another immediate add to Homegrown + Heavy and continued media support.
'Cronus Complex’ is a collection of songs that serve as the inner musings of a man who considers himself broken and is trying to understand what lead to his downfall. Each track on 'Cronus Complex' explores past traumas from toxic friendships, displacement in society and ultimately death and abuse in the form of fast, frenetic explosions of intricate instrumentals, bitingly raw vocals and soaring melodic cleans that punctuate the aggressive tension.
Don’t miss The Motion Below playing through ‘Cronus Complex’ in full October 18
