Funk-pop/acid jazz artist Le Fleur returns to The Night Cat along with her 6 piece band for their first headline show in nearly 2 years to celebrate the release of brand new dance-floor banger “CANDY” with a curated lineup featuring acts fronted by women of colour; Jothi & Afrodisiac (DJ).

Le Fleur is a Melbourne-born & raised artist whose lyricism and storytelling explores themes of society, love, sexuality and social issues through her lens of lived experience as a queer mixed race black woman.

Le Fleur brings passionate vocals and gritty, hard hitting funk grooves, recalling the acid jazz scene of the early ’90s, the sugar of chart-topping 80’s pop, and the pure funk of the ’70s. This is all wrapped in a sequinned package, thrown into the present day, and mixed with Le Fleur’s undeniable individuality and sound.

Headphones Jones are back at The Night Cat for two late night sets of groove. They'll be serving up tasty vocal and instrumental tunes drawing on Funk, Afrobeat and Afro-latin flavours designed to get those feet moving and whip up good vibes and a sweaty dance floor. Expect smooth originals and a few classic standards thrown in. Watch out for big horns, driving rhythms and punchy vocals. Best advised to dress for adventure and maximum boogie.
