Launching his debut album An Open Sky at the Jazzlab, Jimmy O’Hare is an award-winning fingerstyle guitarist based on Victoria’s Surf Coast. His standing as one of Australia’s premier solo acoustic guitar players has been earned on the stages of countless festivals and venues across the country for more than a decade. Jimmy’s new album An Open Sky showcases his musicianship across 7 tracks that were entirely self-recorded and produced.
An alumni of the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, Jimmy is a highly skilled virtuoso whose shows have developed into performances brimming with creativity, showmanship and a story behind every note. His talents have landed him appearances at the National Celtic Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival, Melbourne Guitar Perspectives Concerts and a live national TV performance on ABC Breakfast News. Jimmy is also the director of the Macedon Ranges Music Festival, an annual fundraising event for the Cambodian Kids Foundation.
