Hi I’m James and I make music under the name Jim Alxndr. I write songs that give me goosebumps, or make me want to dance or make me want to cry or all of the above. The lyrics are usually pretty important but all the stuff underneath is really cool as well, I spend a lot of time making sure it feels good. Sometimes I feel like my songs give me really good advice at times when I need to hear it most. They’re like my friends I guess (I have human friends too). I love playing my songs to people with just me and my weird sounding guitar and, if I’m lucky, some of my friends. I don’t teach them all the parts on the record cause I like it when they interpret it themselves and I think it makes for a more interesting experience that you can’t get on Spotify. I made an EP called ‘Feelings Worth Living For’, and I’ll play most of the songs that are on that record. The people who have heard them usually say they like them, and I also like them a lot. I might play some Beach Boys or Joni Mitchell too.
