Actor, singer, writer JANE CLIFTON has been singing around Melbourne, interstate and internationally since the early 70s.

Part of inner-city Fitzroy-Carlton indie scene with bands like Lipp and the Double Dekker Brothers, Scumbag and Toads, Jane came to prominence with feminist rock band Stiletto and later teamed up with Jo Jo Zep for their hit single Taxi Mary.

A Countdown veteran and regular performer at cabaret venues like the Last Laugh Theatre Restaurant, Jane also has the runs on the board as a jazz singer, fronting a number of swingin’ combos.

Her anthemic 80s solo hit single Girl on the Wall charted big-time and her 2003 solo CD The Marriage of Style – produced by James Black and featuring songs written by Paul Kelly, Eric McCusker among others – was critically acclaimed.

After a lifetime of singing original material Jane has finally relaxed into the groove of singing covers of vintage pop songs.

Accompanied by long-time collaborator and legendary guitarist, JEFF BURSTIN – Jo Jo Zep, Black Sorrows and countless other Hall-of-Famers – Jane rips through an unapologetic repertoire of blatant Boomer Rock, including Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, The Beatles, The Monkees, Kinks, Donovan and even – gasp! - Sonny and Cher.
