Jade MacRae is very excited to be celebrating the launch of “Up Above Your Head” at MEMO Music Hall – her first single under her own name since 2008 and marks a decided and unashamed return to writing and recording Soul music.

A unique and soulful vocalist, UK born, Australian based singer/composer JADE MACRAE was raised in a musical home and her rich upbringing colours her music from the inside out. Having enjoyed early critical acclaim and chart success as a pop/RnB artist, MacRae has recently completed what could be her most pivotal record to date.

A definitively soulful sound, this collection of songs was recorded live to tape, with some of Australia’s most revered and respected musicians and singers. Penned in hotels and dressing rooms whilst on tour with US Blues guitar great Joe Bonamassa, this music speaks of heartache and loss, but also of the road to emotional repair and personal redemption.
