Interstellar Gator

Tucked away behind the Inkerman Hotel lies a converted warehouse. A mothership, if you will, where five-piece group Interstellar Gator gather to study the tunes of Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, Mac Demarco, The Black Keys and Tame Impala.

Interstellar Gator stake their claim to a space echo rendition of hazy, flanger-pedalled indie rock, with a discordance between sweet melodies and distorted kick-you-in-the-face guitar riffs

The brainchild of singer/songwriter Zak Fleisher, the band formed as he found himself looking to launch from Perth’s insulated music scene, setting up homebase in Melbourne.

Originally performing under the name ‘Questionable Steeze’ the band took its first steps as a quartet, with bassist Tyrone Sudarski. rhythm guitarist Zac Braun and drummer Michoel Moshel playing Fleisher’s solo material at a raft of rooftops and pubs around Melbourne.

In 2018, the group took a step back from playing, writing fresh material and recording their first EP at Halfway Records. This led to a fateful weekend of sound mixing at Head Gap studios with Finn Keane where everything clicked for the Gators. Kota guitarist Jack MacDonald jumped on drums and singer Elijah Swart slotted in to form the final piece of the puzzle.

2019 saw the band’s first release Stress Free Consultancy featured on a TV ad for Energy Australia and the group has no intentions of slowing down, with plans to release a debut album that’s out of this world.

The Flock

The Flock is a 5-piece alt-rock group from Melbourne’s Inner East, well known around the Melbourne live music scene, having played unforgettable sets at iconic venues like The Worker’s Club, Revolver Upstairs, and the Gasometer Hotel.

The Flock dropped their eponymous debut EP in February 2019, landing 2 singles in the Triple J Unearthed charts, with “Given the Reasons” taking out top spot in the Rock charts, and reaching 5th spot overall. The boys then followed this release with their infamous EP Launch at Nevermind in March 2019.

The Melbourne-born outfit have continued their massive 2019 with new single ‘Say What You Like’, an in-your-face rock anthem that will have you singing along in no time.

With enigmatic front-man Jordan Siamoa, virtuosos Ollie Mcnabb and Charles Kempton on guitar, and airtight rhythm section of Hamish Glaspole (drums) and Sam Pointon (bass), The Flock are a sonic powerhouse designed to give your ears a good time!

Zen Monkee

Formed in early January of 2019 in Melbourne, Australia. Band members Chris Beltrame (guitar/vocals), Aidan Buckley (bass) and Harrison Leitch (drums) came together to form the blues rock band known as Zen Monkee. Throughout the year of 2019, the trio have been slaving away in their top secret studio, creating new material for their debut album which will be released in the early months of 2020. Zen have just dropped their brand new single 'Turn It Around' and have a bunch of shows ready to show off the new tune.
