Paul Kidney Experience as you know them turn 10 on Melbourne Cup Eve. In these 10 years the band has released 5 albums (including one with Mani Neumeier - Leader of Guru Guru) and supported the likes of Mudhoney (twice), Thee Oh Sees, Damo Suzuki, grong grong as well as playing the legendary Paddock Bash festival for every year of its existence.

The band's sound has always been uncompromising - improvised, psych-noise of the highest pedigree, described by Julian Cope as "fucking excellent, highly useful and need(ing) nothing".

Supporting PKE on this night will be several collaborators from over the years, each doing short sets of new material - Richard Walsh - Bonnie Mercer - Rod Cooper - Mia Schoen - Mat Blackwell - Shane Van Den Akker
