After growing up in Shepparton, rural Victoria, the now Melbourne-based four piece have spent years crafting a captivating sound of their own. Listening to Go Dog Go, you might find yourself floating in a sea of dream-pop euphoria, only to then wake up to a synth and bass driven dance groove. Bonding over propulsive rhythms and psychedelic tangents, their jazz-infused pop cuts at a different angle.

Go Dog Go gave a sneak peek of their sound in July 2020 with their debut offering - a cover of Joy Division’s ‘Isolation’. Befitting the original post-punk anthem’s title, the band members recorded their parts from the confines of their individual share-house bedrooms amidst statewide lockdown restrictions in Victoria - isolation, indeed! The release caught the attention of the triple j Unearthed team, with glowing reviews, airplay and an inclusion of the song on their ‘triple j Unearthed Best New Music’ Spotify playlist.
