Fergus Bailey & the Teeth are an alternative band from Sydney, blending jazz, folk, and rock influences. Their songs express warmth and sorrow, and the human experience of these emotions.

Their latest single “On The Coast” explores the subtle relationship between anxiety and love. Fergus wrote the song whilst on a beach holiday realising that, despite being surrounded by beautiful nature and a loving family, he was still experiencing anxiousness. The song’s evolving textures create tension and release, driven by a rolling drum beat. “On The Coast” will be available for streaming on Triple J Unearthed on November 25th, and will be available on all streaming services in the new year.

For their debut Melbourne gig they will be supported by the jubilant Tess Guthrie!

Tess Guthrie oozes the kind of charm that needs to be witnessed to be understood. She disarms her audience with a remarkable blend of an otherworldly musical presence grounded in infectiously relatable messages. Along with experiencing her masterful band, the past year has given audiences the opportunity to really get a taste of the depth Tess has to bring to Australian music. After charting on Unearthed, her debut single WUTO aired on Triple J and took her up the East Coast on tour, topped off by a sold out hometown show in Melbourne. Guthrie’s second offering, Fairy Lights; an unflinching rejection of assumptions about gender and genre.

Tickets will be $10 pre-sale or $15 on the door, with Tess on at 8pm. We cannot wait to play down south, so come by the wonderful Some Velvet Morning to see us perform!
