Returning to Malthouse Outdoor Stage after sell-out performances in summer this year, 2021 ARIA nominated soul-rhythm combo Emma Donovan & The Putbacks will reignite the stage with powerhouse impassioned vocals, and raw transcendent sound.

Following last year's release of Crossover—their multi-award-winning second studio album, including 2021 Independent Album of the Year (AIR Awards)—they are recognised by fans and critics alike as one of the forefront sounds in the Australian soul scene. Emma Donovan & The Putbacks now celebrate their seventh year together with the fresh release of Under These Streets, and this event will be the first time fans can experience this album performed live. Since dawning on the scene in 2014, they've merged The Putbacks' fluid and raw instrumentals with Emma's signature and singularly bruising and impassioned songwriting.
