Born from a shared love for classic American soul and the protest music of Indigenous Australia came the winning collaboration between vocalist Emma Donovan and rhythm combo The Putbacks.

Fresh from the release of their hugely anticipated record Crossover—recognised by fans and critics alike, and featured on both RRR and PBS—Emma Donovan and The Putbacks celebrate their seventh year together. Since dawning on the scene in 2014, they've merged the band's fluid and raw instrumentals with Emma's signature and singularly bruising and impassioned songwriting.

At the centre of it all is her unforgettable voice. The one that started out singing church songs, before stepping into the secular with her family band, The Donovans. When it collides with the dynamic and experienced players of The Putbacks, it transports and transcends. Wherever they want to take you, all we ask is that you're ready to go along.
