EIJSMA and Max Bittisnich join forces, separately to do a split headline show at Open Studio. EIJSMA (pronounced eyes-mah) is the solo project of pianist/singer-songwriter, Ella Blackburn. The Melbourne-based artist interweaves her background as a classical pianist to create soulful ballads, indie-pop melodies and meandering interludes expressed through honeyed vocals and moody synths. Her songs of melancholy and bittersweet moments of love and mental struggles in the vein of Bat for Lashes, Rufus Wainwright and Mitski.
