On an island continent, tens of thousands of miles from the music’s birthplace; Melbourne-based Salsa & Latin Jazz orchestra TUMBAO SOCIAL, a robust, charismatic 11-piece ensemble with an atypical horn lineup alongside the classic salsa rhythm section was conceived with several ambitious goals in mind. To create world-class music, to pay homage to the elegant Latin dance & salsa Romantica orchestras of the 80’s and 90’s, and to bestow swingin’ rhythmic bliss upon the public.
