You’ll find songs that explore anxiety (“ Bigger Than My Brain ”), self-doubt (“ Daytime TV ”), reckless living (“ Homegrown ”), the fake nature of the music industry (“ Try ”), the shame of not being able to provide for a loved one due to financial constraints of being a full-time musician (“ Broke and Hungry ”) and one of the album’s most touching songs “ I Keep Dreaming ”, which was written about Fisher ’s father, who passed away when the singer was seven.

Dear Seattle ’s path to this point gained momentum with the release of their self-titled EP in 2017, with the band embracing a grunge-tinged brand of rock’n’roll that saw singles such as “ The Meadows ” and “Afterthought ” receive handsome triple j airplay.
