College Of Knowledge presents a monthly instalment of funk and soul in the Howler beer garden, featuring live bands and selectors from the COK extended family.

The last Sunday of each month in the Howler beer garden is home to soulful instrumentals, crusty breaks and rolling cinematic grooves from some of Melbourne’s most dedicated.

August sees College Of Knowledge crew Lachlan Stuckey [Surprise Chef], Jethro Curtin [Surprise Chef] and Carl Os [WVR BVBY / Surprise Chef] joined by Aotearoa drummer Cory Champion [aka Borrowed cs] for two sets of improvised jazzfunk in the garden.

Selectors pulling jazz, funk, soul, afro and reggae TBA.

This event series takes place on the sovereign land of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. All artists and organisers involved in this project acknowledge the ongoing connection that First Nations people have with land, waters and culture, and acknowledge their Elders past, present and emerging
