Wind It Up x UXS present a very special, free entry January evening: Colin Self an artist, composer and choreographer based in New York and Berlin. He creates music and performance pieces designed to expand consciousness, trouble binaries and play with the boundaries of perception. Self’s 2018 record Siblings (RVNG) and it’s just-released addendum Orphans are the latest installments in his career-spanning Elation series, a six-part opera about queer family and global transfiguration. A stunning and generous performer, we are thrilled to present Colin Self’s debut Aus show whilst he is touring with collaborator Holly Herndon. Self is joined by June Jones, whose debut LP Diana traverses the tragic, the humorous, the analogue, the digital, the slow, and the danceable. Plus avant composer, soundscape weaver and Gubbi Gubbi man Diimpa.
