It takes strength to be resilient in the face of serious illness, anxiety, and fear for the future, but that's the common message of Clove's second EP Hollow and Whole. Built on the guitar-heavy saturation of 90's grunge and modern alternative emo, the EP tells five stories of vulnerability, frustration, and finding the way forward through the support of family and friendships.
Formed in late 2016, Clove have built a reputation as a powerful live act through consistent touring on the east and west coasts of Australia alongside bands like WAAX, Endless Heights, 50 Lions, Introvert, Stuck Out, Bloods, Horror My Friend, and Better Half. They've sold out their own shows in support of past releases Gre and Home in a Haven/Dear You, which both saw airtime and support from Triple J, Unearthed Radio, 4ZZZ, SYN FM, and more.
Their new material represents Clove at their most cathartic and powerful. Hollow and Whole is out now on cassette and digital streaming via Best Wishes Records.
