Claire is well known in the Melbourne music scene as a rockin' guitarist and vocalist with her band Claire Birchall & the Phantom Hitchhikers, but this year she snuck off alone and locked herself in her bedroom with some drum machines, synths and a 4-track and made a DIY synth-pop album, which is soon to be released on Melbourne's It Records. The first single from the album Running In Slow Motion: ‘Dead Air', is out this October.

To celebrate the single release, Claire is playing a Tote front bar residency on Wednesday nights through October, with some amazingly talented supports.
