After an impressive first year as a band with achievements including the release of their debut single “Anymore”, and performing numerous high energy shows at venues throughout Melbourne, Dear Matilda have announced their sophomore release, “Today Ain’t The Worst.”

“Today Ain’t The Worst” was written amidst friendship breakups. “There was a lot of change happening in my life emotionally and physically around this time,” Matilda says. “Very few of my friends stuck around to support me, or even stay in contact. That stung way more than any kind of romantic heartbreak I ever have been through, because my friends are so important to me”.

In celebration of their new single releasing, Dear Matilda will be hosting a launch show at the iconic Last Chance Rock and Roll bar in Melbourne on Saturday 6th April with support from Grass Stains and The Dizzy Ducks.
