We know it can be difficult juggling your artistic practice and family, so we’ve made it easier for you this month by creating a very special, family friendly Arts West Catch Up Club as part of Due West Arts Festival! Our kids are the next generation of arts makers, and as artists, parents and guardians, we need to inspire and allow ourselves to BE inspired! Bring your kids along on Saturday 23rd for a hilariously fun afternoon of performance, picnics and politics as a gang of gutsy kids turn up the heat and crank up the volume in this riotous interactive chat show, CHILDREN OF THE EVOLUTION, by Arts West Creative Members Born in a Taxi.

Armed with microphones, questioning minds, and big imaginations they tackle topics from the ridiculous to the political. In this new physical, fun and hard-hitting show, children take adult experts to task. Kids, come and have your say about stuff that doesn’t make sense, makes you mad or something you want adults to answer for. Be part of the live podcast recording and risk wetting your pants with laughter and horror. Co-created with director Jackson Castiglione, Flynn Murphy, Mani Bishop, Lola McCann, Zara Nawaz, Sunday Orchard Livingston, and Arts West Creative Members Penny Baron and Carolyn Hanna (Born In A Taxi). Join us after the show for a picnic and great conversation on the Footscray Community Arts Centre lawns.
