Volcano Toast, the latest release from Sydneysider Captain Earwax makes reference to the absurd dichotomy of daily modern life in a capitalist paradigm: On one side - the fragile state of our planet cracking under immense pressure from our misuse of fossil fuels causing global warming and destroying the natural environment. On the other side - the day-to-day eat-work-sleep-repeat drudgery of Western Culture routines re-unfolding over and over again.
