He's back ..by popular demand! Jamie Aditya Graham returns to Paris Cat with his infectious repertoire of early 20's-30's Jazz/Blues/Gospel ! Jamie has a unique and compelling style of performing and singing. Anyone who has witnessed his sets will attest to his blues tinged vocal style as one that shows an obvious deep reverence and love for American roots music. One need only listen to Jamie's voice to hear the influence in style and phrasing of his musical idols ..Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Lil Hardin Armstrong, Fats Waller, and Louis Jordan.
Always putting the Song before any over indulgent vocal gimmickry, Jamie stays true to the beautiful melodies of the wonderful old songs he chooses to sing and performs the songs like an animated storyteller.
In 2015, Jamie traveled to Tucson Arizona , where he collaborated with renowned American saxophonist Kelland Thomas on a recording of early Jazz/Gospel songs entitled Trad&Soul. The album subsequently made it to number 30 on the iTunes USA top 100 Jazz albums of 2015 list and received heavy airplay on Indonesian and Singaporean Radio as well as some airtime on the ABC National radio shows Inner Sleeve and the Lucky Oceans show.
