The jazz orchestra are intent on celebrating the work of individual artists and improvisational talents of masters like Duke Ellington, J.J. Johnson and Wynton Marsalis. The offering on Sunday 15th of March is titled “friends from afar” an exploration in big band jazz. This concert will feature work by the great Duke Ellington Orchestra, Toshiko Akiyoshi and the Boss Brass.

Dealing With Dinosaurs is a collaboration between Ellie Lamb (trombone, vocals, guitar) and Fiona Steele (guitars, vocals and mandolin). Performing interactive original compositions, covers of pop songs and jazz standards, the duo features blended vocal harmonies and orchestrated song arrangements.
