On Sunday February 9th we’ll be hosting New Zealand sludge metal lords, Beast Wars, live on the Cherry stage! They’re crossing the Tasman next month for a three date hoon up and down the East Coast, promoting the gargantuan new single “This Mortal Decay”. Cap it off with a limited capacity club show? Yep!

Their triumphant return to our shores last year highlighted a new found perspective on the fragility of life, following vocalist Matt Hyde's battle with cancer. Also made apparent was that these merchants of visceral stoner metal are certainly back in world-class form. Shaped by Hyde’s experience delving into the abyss, single “This Mortal Decay” is a deeply introspective work and was the last song written for lauded 4th album IV.
